About Heather – Genuine Midwest Consulting

The girl who accidentally became a business encyclopedia.

Hey—I'm Heather. I've had over fifty jobs (yeah, fifty-plus if you count the side hustles). Auctioneer? Check. Facilities maintenance at a natural gas company? Check. Trained horses, slung pizza, drove deliveries, wrote for an international mag, built EMRs for hospitals, installed outdoor wood stoves, did installed sales for Home Depot, worked in a Macedonian-owned restaurant (здраво!)—I can relate to so many kinds of business, from the inside.

I didn't plan this resume. Life just kept tossing curveballs, and I kept saying "sure, why not?" One time I even started a feud between two Canadians over a Hello Kitty lava lamp. (Turns out Canadians take their kitsch seriously!) But now I know why there’s no friends at an auction, reading doctors’ handwriting is an underpaid skill, why lime works in horse troughs, and why pizza dough fights back likes it personal.

And yeah, I've dropped a medium-sized fortune on classes—marketing gurus, mindset coaches, biz hacks from every corner—so I know what actually sticks... and what sounds brilliant until you're crying over spreadsheets at midnight.

Now I help small Midwest folks like you—farms, shops, camps, whatever. Two calls, real tools, zero corporate BS. I still drink coffee by the gallon (see squiggly signature below), still get that resting business face (you know, the one that says "I hate kittens" when I'm hangry), but guess what? I finally sleep.

If you're tired of spinning, want someone who's been there (and lived to roast it), I'm your girl. No pressure—just helpful help.
